It is an honor and a privilege to be the Headmistress of GMHS-40A, Chandigarh, the school that stands for excellence and continuously sets the standards. Education has an important role in the life of an individual and it cannot be overstated. It shapes individuals FOR THEIR PRESENT AND FUTURE and Inculcates values in them that would govern all their choices in life.

Bala Project

Bala (Building as Learning Aid) is an innovative concept for qualitative improvement in education, through developing child-friendly, learning, and fun-based physical environment building in school infrastructure.

About School

The School was established in 1982 as a Primary school. It was upgraded at the Middle level in 1995. In 1995, the school was upgraded to High School. In 2017, the school became Model High School. The school consists of a three-story building with 18 classrooms and 28 other rooms. Other rooms have been set up as Labs, Library, Office, Staff rooms, Sports room, Activity Room, etc. The school is situated in the urban area of the city.

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.
